Releasing them to the wild would be the same as killing them. They would not know how to survive as they? would have never been taught and they would die. Places breeding them wouldn’t bother to do this anyway due to costs of transportation. And, If they kept it alive, it would cost over $8,000 a year for food and other things. Places breeding them care about money, not conservation, so they have no reason to keep it alive.

Great explanation. These cats just wouldn’t know how? to survive in the wild. That is why captive breeding doesn’t make much sense. If you want to save the wild population, you must protect their habitat, not breed captive animals. Breeding captive animals doesn’t do much to save the species.

They have been raised in captivity, they have no knowledge how to hunt, defend, or live for themselves. They are wholly dependent upon those who are in possession for them. You can’t retrain them, you can’t re-integrate them into a habitat. Their birth was their death-sentence. Which is why breeding needs to stop!! Additionally, the enviroments for the wild cats are endangered, to flood it with a slew of new cats would be catastrophic. We? need to protect the wold ones, isn’t that the point?

No, it is from inbreeding. Over breeding is breeding numbers beyond the carrying capacity of the land which does not apply? here. There is only one line of white tigers so inbreeding is necessary to make the gene show. The same is true for golden tabbys as well. And please explain what you mean with the Siberian/Bengal comment. I am not sure why you are referring to the sizes of them.

i’m sorry but i’m sure this is inaccurate, this is caused by overbreading of a bengal tiger, as with a golden tabby tiger, this is just kind of a defect, they lack color, as golden tabby’s lack black, and white tigers are the same size as a bengal tiger, not siberian? unless it is overbreading? by a siberian, same thing goes for the golden tabby.

so the deformed tigers are often killed or discarded. so where do they? discard the tiger? into the wild?

No, unfortunately, they are killed or simply abandoned. In some circumstances, they will try to make an animal sanctuary take them,? but in the end, it only gives them more of an opportunity to breed more.

If your talking about all this cruelty why does even big cat rescue keep them in cages just simply put them in protected rain forest so? they can be free not rescued and out in cages would you like it if i put you in a cage made out of steel until you die? Like those big cats!
