i just got the a350 and LOVE it. for the mp count i can’t believe how cheap it is. if an extra 1 or 200 isn’t a big? deal to you, i def recommend getting the a350 instead of the a300.

Are there any disadvantages to? using live preview on a DSLR?

For the most part, with this camera, not? many. With the way this one works, the only disadvantage I can think of would be you cannot overlay a grid, etc. Probably not a big deal to most people.

Features and performance are always good to know, but what about maintenance?Before you purchase make sure you ask where the ‘main’ memory backup battery cell is held, how long it lasts? and the likely cost of its replacement.
