Someone Who Knows About Fisheye Lens And Nikon Slr?

Okay, I know basically nothing about SLRs and I really, really have wanted one for a long time now. Can someone please tell me about the Nikon D80? I also want a fisheye lens, but I don’t know much about that either. Do I have to get a certain kind for the Nikon D80?
Also, around how much would the SLR and the fisheye lens cost together?

The Nikon D80 is an Excellent SLR.
But.. Are you SURE you want a fisheye lens? The Nikon 10.5mm fisheye lens runs over $600. Sigma makes a 15mm f/2.8 fisheye lens, but from what I saw of it, it leaves a lot to be desired.
You might be better off with an ultrawide lens instead of a fisheye lens. They are more versatile and have have less distortion.

For fisheye lenses you will be better off with a full frame camera, because the allow the wider zooms more easily. I would suggest the Nikon D700, however, if your heart is set on the D80 (a wonderful camera, I will add) then I would have to say go for it, though it will probably cost you, camera and lens, about 1500 dollars.
P.S., make sure to get a “DX” lens if you get a D80, it’ll work better than a regular lens.
