						Also, to clear up the possible confusion: this is an AF-S lens, which means it will autofocus nicely on? D40, D40x, D60 and D5000 too.

						CORRECTION FOR YOUR VID. The difference is in the -S :/ it stands for Speed. it stands for Silent Wave Motor that is present in AF-S lenses, but not in the AF. The motor is used to turn focusing mechanism of a lens. The AF lenses rely on a motor in the camera body, which turns the focusing mechanism through a small screw type drive that protrudes from the camera body to a lens.Advantages:? I think it may focus a tad faster, works with low-end camera bodies: D40, D60, D5000,

		<description>

						It is AF-S. I own one and can confirm it is an amazing zoom lens. This one lens is enough? for all my travel photography. Highly recommended!There&#039;s also a new model of this same lens that Nikon released recently and it is a VR II. Other than that they are both identical.

						I&#039;m pretty sure the image quality will be the same in terms of sharpness. From what i understand, the only different is the addition of the zoom lock and some? added coatings to help prevent flare and such. The VR system on the first version of the lens is also VR2. DIP
