Two day after after receiving a notice that my order had been shipped from Hobby Warehouse 1, I received an email: “We have cancelled your Amazon.com order because the seller informed us that it was placed against an unauthorized listing.”
The refund was delayed to my next month billing period on my credit card. How can they take my money and 2 days later tell me the ad was fake? I am sure the D90 is a great camera, but I did not receive one from my order on Amazon.

Camera broke after 6 months. Baaad customer service. They found small scratches on camera so nothing was covered.

I am amazed that this camera is gaining such good reviews here. The build and manufacturing quality are the shoddiest I have ever seen from Nikon. Mine is not an isolated case as any quick internet search will reveal, but my D90 simply does not work, never has properly, and Nikon does not care one iota.
Finally, amongst the lens:camera join not working causing it not to be able actually to take pictures (rather fundamental and a common flaw) and various plasticky bits failing to function, the screen went on mine.
A hugely expensive camera, less than 6 months old, and Nikon wanted to charge me £360 (426Euro) to repair it, simply because I had bought it whilst travelling. I’m not alone in living and working in different countries, and of all the qualities a camera should have – portability is amongst the most basic.
The problem with Nikon is that once into their system, because of Nikor lenses, you are trapped there. My experienced advice is to buy something – anything – else and not get trapped in the first place.
A once great brand that no longer cares about its customers and is no longer great.
I couldn’t be more disappointed.
