This review is meant for buyers who are ready to shop this product on Amazon.

I have NOT bought this product yet. I am only looking at the details of this product on Amazon website.

I am disappointed to see that there is no section which details out the package contents! There is a section for Product details as well as product description BUT neither of them tell me what all I get if I buy this product.

    Update:

I sent a feedback to Customer service and got a very fast response. Under Nikon D60 SLR highlight section, way at the end there is a paragraph which begins with “Supplied Accessories”. It is right there that shows what all comes with the product.

I purchased the Nikon D60 because I was going on vacation to the Bahamas for 5 days. Big mistake. After taking the lens off for the first time, one of the connectors inside came right off. I returned it for a new one. This one worked fine, so I snapped some pictures just to try it out, and I viewed them on the back of the camera. What I didn’t notice was that all the pictures had purple swirls on the top right corner. I got back from the Bahamas and all my pictures were trash. I had to pay someone 200 dollars to fix some of my more important pictures in Photoshop. I’ve since returned it and purchased a Canon 40D. I had an EOS lens for it, so I just bought the body. It works really good too.

bought this camera when it came out big mistake.. it was not a big improvement over the d40 same settings… i have problems with noise in pictures. if you are just starting out I would recommend other cheaper cameras would do the same if not even better.

Nikon DSLRs are starting to fail–lot’s of them. Due to Nikon’s negligent stance on the issue I am informing consumers to avoid Nikon DSLR’s. Unfortunately the D60 winds up with a failing flash, like the D40 and D40X. Users are asked to send the unit away for a vacation. Nikon should be replacing these cameras but instead they are avoiding the problem and frustrating their customers. The amazing power of Nikon technology has been ruined by poor construction and while the cameras work well on paper they are not reliable in real world applications. After being embarrassed on a photo shoot and denied a replacement, I am done with Nikon. At this point Canon’s reputation is beating Nikon, so you might do some careful research. You will be lucky to get 6 solid months of reliable use from this disposable and very expensive product. I am selling all my lenses and my broken Nikon for whatever it may be worth.
