Loved it! Worth buying just for the pictures. Usually I find gorgeous pictures taken in exotic places I know I can’t go to, but this book had a picture taken in a spot within drivable distance from my house that I didn’t know existed. Thank you!!!!! Planning to go as soon as weather improves.

Best photo book I have read. Insightful and practical. Strong focus on picture taking… basics of post processing.

I would definitely reccommend this book.

I am relatively new to nature photography and this book has helped so much already. Not only is there the usual technical camera settings and lighting advice, but very helpful advice on what to carry in the field, what kind of tripod to get, how to camouflage your lens, etc. He even tells you the place, time of year and time of day to get the pictures he got. So much helpful and interesting info. And the pictures are stunning. From beginners to pros, I’d rate this book a must have. It has become my favorite.

Once again, Tim Fitzharris has outdone himself with a book lavishly illustrated with his outsanding photographs and full of incredible advise. Tim’s style makes his books valuable to both beginning and professional photographers. They are a pleasure to both read and to peruse for his beautiful photography. It is always a pleasure to sit down with one of Tim’s books (I have many!) and get re-activated by learning a new technique that I had not known, or finding a better way of doing something that I had not yet tried. Tim’s expertise in all thing related to nature photography becomes readily apparent from the first page of his books to the very last page. Truly a master of his craft!

I have been a fan of Tim Fitzharris since I was a boy. I use to read his early Audubon books and dream of being a wildlife photographer. Tim Fitzharris has done it again only this time a digital version. He covers histograms, and has a great chapter on exposure. This is by far one of his best works yet. I’m looking forward to the new digital version of Photographing National Parks. Tim has proven himself as an accomplished wildlife photographer long before digital, this book is full of insight and pictures alone are full of inpiration for anyone interested in nature photography.
