How Do I Install A Flash And Everything It Needs On A Basic Nikon F2 Photomic 35mm Slr Camera?

I have everything that comes on the normal Nikon F2 Photomic SLR but no hot shoe, coupler, sync switch, wires, or any of that stuff, none of which I know is necessary. So yeah, any list of stuff needed and recommends on how to install/set them up would be great.
Thanks!
J

    Wow that’s a classic–I had the F2AS
The hotshoe–doesn’t exist, until you mount one, on the rewind knob. It’s an adaptor.
The reason is that the metering thingie on the top doesn’t have any room for a flash.
Otherwise you’d have to use the PC (cable) and fire off a flash off of the camera.

You need to get an F2 hotshoe, which mounts on the rewind knob.
You can find one on ebay:http://cgi.ebay.com/AS-1-Nikon-F-&-F2-ho…
Your flash unit will need a pc synch cord. If your flash unit doesn’t have one, you can get a hotshoe adapter that has one.
    also on ebay:http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Hotshoe-Mount-PC…
Then all you will need is a PC synch cord.

The hot shoe adapter is called an AS-1, for a Nikon F, and F2. Plus the flash should be auto but not dedicated a good cheap flash is Vivitar 283, or 285 HV
