In some cases. The Pentax screw-mount lenses will work on all Pentax and new Sony SLR’s making the latter an interesting choice since millions of those lenses exist. No other brand has this degree of backwards compatibility.
Some old Canon lenses will work with their new DSLR’s, but in most other cases, no. The lens will either not fit mechanically, or, if it does, features such as auto-focus will not work (eg, Nikon).

All Pentax K-mount lenses made since 1975 will mount to the Pentax K100D Super or K10D. An adapter for the screw mount lenses to K-mount would be required.
The Sony A100 & A700 will accept any Minolta Maxxum AF lens made since 1985. An adapter for screw mount lenses to the Sony (Minolta) A-mount should be available. An adapter for the older Minolta MC/MD (bayonet) mount lenses to the A-mount is available.
Unfortunately, mvbirdo really doesn’t have a clue about what lens mounts on what body.

Yes but you may need an adaptor
