A Friend Told Me That I Need A Nikon Slr. Are There Different Models To Choose From? And Which One Is Best?

I’m going to be shooting skateboarding. I’ve worked with nikons before and learned how to use them but i don’t want a really expensive one. Can anyone suggest a nice SLR that fits the description? thanks!

If you have around $400, then you can get a Nikon D40 from Cameta Camera on eBay. Normally I wouldn’t consider a camera on eBay, but I read some really good reviews for this store. I got one from there and it works great.
    Otherwise, I’d get a D80. I wouldn’t go for a D40x or D60.

N80 (F80 outside the U.S.) is a great camera and will fill your needs.
They’re about $200 used in mint condition.
The 24-85 or 28-105 lens would be an excellent choice.

I have an N75 that I bought a few years ago. It’s auto and manual. Great camera. Only cost a couple hundred and it would probably be cheaper now.

An F90 (N90) is also good, can get one for around $150.00. Also F60. I got one on ebay for $30.00 (with lens).

Sorry to say but they are all expensive… If they are cheaper then they arent as good. An idea would be for you to go to craigslist and look for a used one near you i sold mine on there really cheap… that or ebay(thats where i bought mine)
